I have been teaching preschool in my home for the past ten years and I love it! I have tried very hard to provide a safe, loving, nurturing environment for the children that come to my school. Unlike most in-home preschools, I am licensed and insured. I have city and state guidelines that I follow to make sure that your children are well taken care of while they are with me. Licensed preschools are held to a higher standard and I am proud to say that my school meets and exceeds their requirements. Along with my Degree in Early Childhood Education, I am CPR and First Aid Certified and I have my food handlers permit. We just moved into our new home that we had designed around my preschool. Maria Montessori, an early childhood education pioneer and philosopher once said “Play is a Child’s Work.” I fully believe this theory. Children learn by leaps and bounds when we supply a knowledge-rich, fun, and loving environment in which the teacher provides structure, meaning and support for learning. I have been teaching for 18 years. I graduated from UVSC (now UVU ) in December of 2000 with my degree in Early Childhood Education. I have taught Kindergarten, Directed a few Preschools and also worked as Head Preschool teacher. I love the age of children between 3 and 6. They are so excited about learning, they make new discoveries each day that might seem simple to us adults but amaze these little ones. I love being a part of that process. I am a mother of three.
