My Preschool House

I have been teaching preschool in my home for the past ten years and I love it!  I have tried very hard to provide a safe, loving, nurturing environment for the children that come to my school.  Unlike most in-home preschools, I am licensed and insured.  I have city and state guidelines that I follow to make sure that your children are well taken care of while they are with me.  Licensed preschools are held to a higher standard and I am proud to say that my school meets and exceeds their requirements.  Along with my Degree in Early Childhood Education, I am CPR and First Aid Certified and I have my food handlers permit. We just moved into our new home that we had designed around my preschool. The school itself is 510 square feet of pure fun! I would love to meet you and have you see the school in person.

About Me

Maria Montessori, an early childhood education pioneer and philosopher once said “Play is a Child’s Work.” I fully believe this theory. Children learn by leaps and bounds when we supply a knowledge-rich, fun, and loving environment in which the teacher provides structure, meaning and support for learning. I have been teaching for 18 years. I graduated from UVSC (now UVU ) in December of 2000 with my degree in Early Childhood Education. I have taught Kindergarten, Directed a few Preschools and also worked as Head Preschool teacher. I love the age of children between 3 and 6. They are so excited about learning, they make new discoveries each day that might seem simple to us adults but amaze these little ones. I love being a part of that process. I am a mother of three.
